Sensei Carl Genjo Bachmann

Sensei Bachmann is a Zen Teacher in the White Plum Lineage. He received Dharma Transmission from Robert Kennedy Roshi in 2010.
He is the teacher and one of the founders of the Clear Mountain Zen Center in Montclair, New Jersey.
Sensei Bachmann co-authored the book Embracing Life As It Is, Lessons from Wabi-Sabi, Haiku and Zen.
He is a psychotherapist in private practice.

 

Sensei Alice Denkō Potz

Sensei Potz is a German and American citizen. She was born 1954 in Hungary, and fled with her family to Germany in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution. She is a Theologian (Dipl. Theol., Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, Germany) and Social Pedagogue (Dipl. Soz. Paed. Stiftungsfachhochschule Munich, Germany) and worked in Germany and Switzerland as a Journalist and in Adult Education. In the United States she has taught many years as an adjunct instructor at St. Peter’s University in Jersey City in Theology and Sociology. A Zen practitioner since 1987, Alice studied with masters in Germany, Switzerland and the USA, where she became a student of Roshi Robert Jinsen Kennedy's in 1999. She received Dharma transmission from him in 2021. Alice is married and lives in Jersey City and in Munich, Germany.
