"The ordinary acts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest." -Thomas Moore

This quote begs the questions, How can ordinary acts like washing the dishes possibly affect me in any significant way? Isn’t zazen supposed to do that? What’s the connection between daily life and zazen? At this spring’s Living Zen Householder Sesshin we will hold these questions in an effort to discover what life is and how we live it? To help stitch together daily activities and sitting practice, this Living Zen Householder intensive offers a meditation schedule that weaves its way into our daily work and home lives. To intensify the experience, we suggest that participants live Zen by incorporating additional meditative moments away from the zendo and to take up a mindfulness practice at home, at work or in the community.

The Sesshin will include zazen, dharma talks, a practice circle, private interviews with the teacher, a morning snack and beverages both Friday and Saturday. We hope you will live Zen with us. It is suggested that those registering for the Sesshin commit to all three days. Cost is $35. Please register by Tuesday, June 6. To register and pay, please see the two-step process below.
